Soap Opera Update

Note: This article, as you can see from the first paragraph, has a little age on it. It’s doubtful, though, that things have changed a whole lot in the last four years.

Here are some excerpts from a column entitled, “Soap Opera Update,” which appeared in the July 11, 2004 edition of the Montgomery Advertiser. Ask yourself as you read these excerpts: Do Christians have any business watching these programs?

Greenlee floored Kendall with her admission that Ryan was going to take Kendall back but then found her in bed with Jonathan.

Initially thrilled to learn that she’s pregnant, Jessica was crushed to realize that the baby could be Doc’s.

Georgie and Dillon began to make love, but he wasn’t able to finish.

When Sonny ordered a hit on Faith, she warned him that if anything happened to her, Carly would find out that Sonny is the father of Sam’s baby.

Guiding Light

Bill admitted his mistakes in a peacemaking gesture to Josh but revealed that it was just a ploy to win back control of Lewis.

One Life to Live

Kevin refused to believe Blair’s claim that neither he nor Todd is Ace’s father and started divorce proceedings against Kelly.

Passions

Theresa shocked Whitney by declaring that Fox is in love with her. Theresa later had to think fast when Chad grilled her about Fox’s mystery woman.
