ABORTION: THE REAL ISSUE

Abortion proponents attempt to hide the truth behind the slogan of "pro-choice." But the issue is not one of choice; the question is: is abortion murder?

No one can read passages such as Psalms 139: 13, Exodus 21: 22-24, and Luke 1: 15, 41 and not understand that the Word of God clearly recognizes the humanity of the child in the womb. Thus, the destruction of the child, whether before or after the event of birth, is the willful taking of human life.

The depression that even the most godless women feel after committing this act is the answer of the conscience for the natural affection which even animals feel for their young. Yet, the bible tells of a time when this natural affection to protect one's offspring will wane (Romans 2: 31, 2 Timothy 3: 3).

To those who feel remorse there is hope, for Jesus offers salvation to all who turn to him in obedience (Hebrews 5: 9). To the rest we can only feel sorrow. And to a nation which has slain over 30 million since abortion on demand became the law of the land, we can only wonder how long God will allow this to continue.
