OPEN LETTER TO THE COMPLACENT MAJORITY
OPEN LETTER TO THE COMPLACENT MAJORITY by Dave Brown
NOTE: THIS IS MORE OF A POLITICAL THAN A RELIGIOUS STATEMENT. As such, it is a call to individual as opposed to church action. All faithful churches that we know of are teaching the truth on this subject. -dbb

This is not addressed to those who are pro-abortion. I recognize that there are many who "have never seen an abortion that they did not love." No, I can understand that they do not believe abortion to be murder since they do not view a fetus to be a human. Therefore, they see abortion to be a major stride in the direction of population control. This was the Clinton administration's announced representation of "the position of the United States" at a world conference on population control that was conducted during that administration (at least prior to receiving heated criticism for this position).

No, this letter is addressed to the very large number of people in this country who are against abortion but for a woman's "right to decide." Without this complacent majority there would be no legalized abortion. Those who are pro-abortion know this -- that is why they call themselves pro-choice. Many of them claim that they are against abortion -- just pro-choice.

Since legalized abortion depends entirely upon those who are not pro-abortion, those who hold this centrist position should seriously consider the consequences of their inaction.

Why do you believe abortion to be wrong? If abortion is not murder, then why not encourage it? If fetal mass is not a human being, then why not perform an operation and remove it as you would an unwanted cancerous growth?

But if your beliefs are based upon the Judeo-Christian and Moslem views of the sanctity of life, and the Old and New Testament treatment of the fetus as a living being (Psalms 139: 13, Exodus 21: 22-24, and Luke 1: 15, 41), then you cannot escape the fact that abortion is murder.

How then can you rationalize giving someone the right to perform murder? Is it because the victims are defenseless, mute and unborn? Or is it just because you never gave it a second thought?

Tell me. I want to know. For it is not just the atheistic practitioners of genocide that are responsible for sacrificing well over 30 million souls to the god of convenience since the legalization of abortion in this country. It is the complacent majority.
