This page is an appeal from Dave Brown to those who would either practice or support terrorism based on their religious beliefs.
First, a simple question: does it seem right to you that innocent persons should be targeted for injury and murder? What does this say about the cause that would promote such actions?
We realize that few that practice or support terrorism believe that the bible is God’s word. However is it not reasonable that the God who created us all gave us a sense of right and wrong? The Genesis account indicates that mankind has a basic sense of what is good and what is evil.
Gen 3:22-23 “And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil; …”
The fact that the vast majority of Muslims deny that the shedding of innocent blood is right and good attests to their sense of right and wrong in this regard. We appeal to them, as we do to professing Christians, to deal with those among you/us that would think that violence is part of God’s plan for evangelism.
Which one of the following appeals more to your sense of what is right:
“Kill the unbelievers.”
or
Matt 5:44 “…but I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you; …” (ASV)
Which of these will bring peace and harmony to this world?
The following is among the seven things that the LORD hates and which are an abomination to Him (Proverbs 6:17): “… hands that shed innocent blood.”
As a final appeal we ask: what is it that you wish to accomplish by murdering innocent people? The only thing that I can conceive of is that you are trying to build up as much prejudice against those of like faith with you that it will lead to some horrific global conflict. I would hope that those who are your victims are smart enough not to take this bait.
